  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup (4 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large bowl using a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar to the melted butter and whisk to combine.
  3. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well mixed.
  4. Add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda, folding gently until no dry ingredients are visible.
  5. Pour the batter into a prepared baking dish.
