- 1 packet (2.75 oz) sausage gravy mix
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Press the biscuit dough into a greased 9×13 pan, ensuring an even layer.
- In a skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat until thoroughly cooked, then drain excess fat and layer it on top of the biscuits.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and slightly frothy.
- Pour the egg mixture over the sausage layer in the pan.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese on top.
- Prepare the sausage gravy according to packet instructions, let it cool slightly, then pour it over the casserole.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until lightly browned and set in the center.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
