Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- If the dough is crumbly, add milk to soften it.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months. Add chocolate chips or nuts for variation, and don’t overbake for a soft, chewy texture.
