Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb Cajun sausage, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and cook for another minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the pot and stir well to combine.
  7. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
