Description

A warm and comforting sandwich made with tender chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheese, all pressed between golden slices of bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for grilling
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., cilantro or parsley)
  • Smoked paprika (optional)
  • Lime (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken and mashed avocado, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the chicken and avocado mixture onto one slice of bread.
  4. Top with shredded cheese and cover with the second slice of bread.
  5. Butter the outside of the sandwich.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience. Feel free to customize with herbs or spices like smoked paprika for added flavor.
