Description

This Cinnamon Bread – Moist & Spiced Pumpkin Loaf Recipe is the perfect blend of cozy pumpkin loaf and a sweet cinnamon swirl. Moist, flavorful, and nostalgic, it’s ideal for breakfast, snacking, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for deeper flavor)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil (or butter), and sugar until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  4. Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.
  6. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar, then add remaining batter on top.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of flour over the cinnamon sugar to prevent sinking.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Wrap tightly and store at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze slices for later. Add-ins like chocolate chips, walnuts, or a cream cheese swirl can enhance the flavor further.
