Description

A warm, frothy latte that blends earthy matcha with sweet cinnamon for a cozy, antioxidant-rich drink that’s quick to make and comforting to sip.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial grade preferred)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp hot water (~175°F / 80°C)

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a small saucepan until steaming, but not boiling.
  2. In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder.
  3. Add hot water to matcha and whisk briskly in a zig-zag motion until frothy.
  4. Stir in ground cinnamon and honey or maple syrup, if using.
  5. Pour the steamed milk into the matcha mixture, whisking or frothing to blend.
  6. Pour into a mug, top with foam, and dust lightly with extra cinnamon.

Notes

Use water below boiling to avoid bitterness, and always sift your matcha for a smooth, café-style finish. Adjust sweetness and cinnamon to taste.
