Description

Enjoy the rich, warm flavors of cinnamon rolls in an easy-to-make bar format. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add in the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before icing. To make the icing, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the icing over the bars, allow to set, then slice and serve.

Notes

Let the bars cool fully before storing. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
