- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add in the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before icing. To make the icing, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth.
- Drizzle the icing over the bars, allow to set, then slice and serve.
Notes
Let the bars cool fully before storing. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
