Description

A comforting and creamy Crab Shrimp Queso, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup queso dip (mild or spicy)
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine the shrimp, crab, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso dip, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl.
  2. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in each tortilla. Roll tightly and secure with a toothpick.
  3. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat and carefully add the filled tortillas. Fry until golden and crunchy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the toothpicks and plate them up. Drizzle some warm queso over the top and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Make the filling ahead of time and refrigerate it for convenience. This dish can also be easily adapted with different ingredients.
