- 20 oz cheese tortellini (Fresh or refrigerated)
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine, and let simmer gently.
- Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to package instructions in a separate pot.
- Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain. Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak back into the creamhouse sauce, mixing in parmesan cheese until well coated.
- Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired, then serve immediately.
Notes
Feel free to add your favorite vegetables or use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
