Description

A comforting and delicious dish of cheese tortellini enveloped in a rich garlic and cream sauce, combined with tender steak for a family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini (Fresh or refrigerated)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  2. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine, and let simmer gently.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to package instructions in a separate pot.
  6. Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain. Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak back into the creamhouse sauce, mixing in parmesan cheese until well coated.
  7. Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables or use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
