Description

A delightful dish that combines the richness of steak with cheese tortellini in a creamy sauce, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for about 3-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak and let it rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until combined. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  4. Add the cooked tortellini and shredded parmesan to the sauce. Toss gently until everything is coated in the creamy mixture. Slice the steak and place it on top of the tortellini.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.

Notes

Use fresh tortellini for the best flavor and texture. Adjust the spices to fit your taste.
