Description
This creamy bowtie pasta with beef sauce one pot recipe is a quick, hearty, and comforting meal that comes together in just one pan. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups beef broth
1 (14.5 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
12 ounces bowtie pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
2. Stir in onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
3. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Stir in the uncooked bowtie pasta and bring to a low boil.
5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Uncover and pour in cream, mozzarella, and parmesan.
7. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
This recipe works well with ground turkey or chicken as a substitute for beef.
Add chopped spinach or mushrooms to sneak in vegetables.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze flat in bags.
