  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the sausage is browned.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
  5. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet. Stir until all the pasta is well-coated with the creamy sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
