Description

Quick and comforting creamy tomato garlic pasta perfect for busy evenings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Keep about 1/2 cup of the pasta water if you like a looser sauce.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes along with their juices and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Cook until heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
