Description

Warm, soft, and slightly chewy oatmeal cookies packed with milk chocolate chips; perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (at room temperature)
  • 1 1/4 cup old-fashioned whole rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing for another 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the flour, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt until it forms a dough.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Scoop out about 8 equal-sized balls of cookie dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Press down on each cookie dough ball to about 1 inch in thickness.
  8. Bake for 11-12 minutes until lightly golden but still soft in the center.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 20 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
