Description
A family-favorite dump-and-go crockpot meal with tender chicken soaked in sweet and savory teriyaki sauce perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep days.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Optional: sliced bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (to thicken sauce)
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken, soy sauce, brown sugar (or honey), garlic, ginger, and sesame oil into the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add any vegetables if using.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks directly in the crockpot.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the crockpot. Cook on high for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
- Serve over rice, noodles, or quinoa and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Customize sweetness and spice levels to taste. Great for meal prep — stores well in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
