Description

A comforting and playful twist on traditional lasagna using dumpling wrappers, ricotta, and spinach for a family-friendly dinner that’s easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • Dumpling wrappers
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix ricotta cheese, spinach, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Place a layer of dumpling wrappers over the sauce.
  5. Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the dumpling wrappers, then sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish can be assembled ahead of time and baked later. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
