Description
A classic green bean casserole with a creamy mushroom sauce and crispy fried onions, perfect as a Thanksgiving side dish.
Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup fried onions
- ½ cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Trim the green beans and place them in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Add the green beans to the soup mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with fried onions.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
Notes
Serve warm with additional fried onions for extra crunch. Can be made ahead and baked on the day of serving.
