Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (112 grams) (softened, almost starting to melt)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (105 grams) (light or dark)
- 1/4 cup white sugar (50 grams)
- 3 tablespoons milk (45 ml) (any variety)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (156 grams)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (about 120 grams)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Sprinkle the flour onto a clean cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes to heat treat the flour.
- In a medium bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until creamed, about 2 minutes.
- Mix in the milk and vanilla extract until silky.
- Stir in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Let the dough rest for an hour in the fridge, or serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to five days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
