- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Get a rimmed baking sheet ready and line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2 inches between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Allow to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
