- 1 head of lettuce (e.g., iceberg or butter lettuce)
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: fresh herbs, lime, cilantro, toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, ginger, bell pepper, and carrot to the skillet; sauté until veggies are tender.
- Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper, tasting as you go.
- Remove from heat and let settle for a minute.
- Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves, garnish with green onions, and serve immediately.
