- 1 package frozen hashbrowns (30 oz)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, diced onion, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- If using, sprinkle crushed cornflakes on top for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
To make it a little healthier, add some vegetables like bell peppers or spinach. You can also add cooked bacon or sausage for extra flavor.
