Description

Warm, buttery, and flaky biscuits perfect for busy weeknights, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding herbs or cheese to the dough. Make sure your butter is very cold; this helps create fluffiness.
