Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a bowl, either in the microwave or over simmering water.
  3. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
  4. Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool before slicing into squares.

Notes
