Description

A delightful and easy meal combining sweet and savory flavors with shrimp, vegetables, and rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. In another pot, steam the broccoli and bell pepper until tender.
  6. Serve the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice, topped with steamed vegetables, sesame seeds, and green onions.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also substitute vegetables for your favorites.
