- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk with salt and pepper for at least 1 hour.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown and cooked through.
- For the biscuits, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add milk and mix until just combined, then drop the mixture onto a baking sheet.
- Bake biscuits at 425°F (220°C) until golden.
- For the hot honey sauce, mix honey with a dash of hot sauce.
- Serve fried chicken on warm biscuits drizzled with hot honey.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for more moisture and flavor. Let the biscuits rest for a few minutes after baking for better texture. Adjust the amount of hot sauce in the honey to your spice preference.
