Description

A refreshing and energizing iced drink that blends smooth matcha green tea with creamy milk and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for warm afternoons or as a healthy pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder (high quality)
  • 2 teaspoons honey, maple syrup, or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons hot water (not boiling, around 175°F)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or coconut)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add matcha powder to a small bowl and pour in hot water.
  2. Whisk briskly in a zig-zag (W) motion until fully dissolved and frothy.
  3. Stir in your sweetener of choice while the matcha is still warm.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour your milk of choice over the ice.
  6. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the milk for a beautiful layered effect.
  7. Stir lightly if desired and enjoy!

Notes

Use ceremonial-grade matcha for vibrant flavor and color. Don’t use boiling water, and whisk properly for smoothness. For extra creaminess, opt for oat milk.
