- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1 small box of instant lemon pudding mix
- ¾ cup of oil
- ¾ cup of water
- 4 beaten eggs
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 2 tablespoons of water
- ⅓ cup of lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs until well combined. Add the yellow cake mix, instant lemon pudding mix, oil, and water; mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake bakes, mix together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and water in a medium bowl. Stir in the melted butter until smooth.
- Once the cake is baked, let it cool slightly, then poke holes all over the cake and pour the lemon glaze over it.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing; do not overmix the batter. Add lemon zest for more flavor if desired.
