- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- Powdered sugar for glazing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients along with the lemon juice and zest, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before glazing with powdered sugar mixed with a little lemon juice.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For best results, use fresh lemons for the juice and zest. Avoid overmixing the batter for chewier brownies.
