Description

A hearty casserole combining meatloaf and macaroni and cheese, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, milk, cheddar cheese, and half of the ketchup. Stir until mixed.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the meat mixture, followed by the mac and cheese mixture, then top with the remaining meat mixture.
  5. Spread the remaining ketchup over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding your favorite spices or herbs to the meat mixture. Use different cheeses for a unique taste.
