Description

A refreshing and delightful sorbet made from ripe mangoes and strawberries, perfect for summer days and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (optional, for added brightness)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mangoes into small pieces, and hull and slice the strawberries.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the mangoes, strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed, then blend again briefly.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish, cover airtight, and freeze for 4-6 hours or until solid. Stir every couple of hours to break ice crystals for the best texture.

Notes

For a quicker process, consider using frozen mangoes or strawberries. Feel free to sweeten with honey or maple syrup if preferred.
