  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cayenne pepper, and some salt and pepper.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and let excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until well coated.
  5. In an oven-safe skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown on both sides (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
