Description

A creamy and tangy Caesar salad dressing that combines familiar pantry staples to create a comforting and flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup vegan or regular mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced or grated)
  • 1/2 cup grated regular or vegan parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp vegan or regular Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Into a small bowl, add all the ingredients and whisk together till completely combined and smooth.
  2. Use a flat whisk or fork and steady pressure. The mixture should look glossy.
  3. If you want it thinner, add a teaspoon of water or olive oil at a time.
  4. Do a quick taste test and see if you need to add anything to meet your dressing flavor needs.
  5. Taste for lemon and salt first. Add more lemon for brightness or a pinch of salt to lift the flavors.
  6. If it tastes flat, a tiny extra splash of Worcestershire will help.
  7. Transfer to a jar and enjoy on an as-needed basis.
  8. Store in the fridge for up to a week in a sealed jar.
  9. Give it a good stir before using if it separates a bit.

Notes

Let the garlic sit in the dressing for a few minutes if you want the flavor to mellow. To involve kids, let them whisk the jar closed and shake.
