Description

A delightful twist on classic pecan pie, using flaky crescent roll dough combined with sweet pecan filling, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup of pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough starting from the wide end to the point.
  5. Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Consider adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a richer experience. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
