A delightful twist on classic pecan pie, using flaky crescent roll dough combined with sweet pecan filling, perfect for any gathering.

- 1 can of crescent roll dough
- 1 cup of pecans, chopped
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of corn syrup
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough starting from the wide end to the point.
- Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Consider adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a richer experience. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
