- 2 lb hot breakfast sausage
- 1 (30-32oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage until no longer pink; drain fat and set aside.
- Add the frozen hash browns to the same skillet and cook until lightly browned, adding oil if needed. Transfer to the greased pan.
- Layer the cooked sausage and shredded cheese on top of the hash browns.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk. Pour over the layers in the pan.
- To bake later, cover and refrigerate. When ready, uncover and bake for 35-40 minutes until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
Notes
For added flavor, mix cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack; you can customize with vegetables too.
