Ingredients

- 1 head of green or Napa cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 chicken breasts (or tofu/turkey as substitute)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives)
Instructions
- Prep all vegetables: thinly slice cabbage, chop onion, and mince garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Add chicken breasts and cook through until golden and no longer pink.
- Remove chicken and set aside. In the same pan, toss in the sliced cabbage.
- Cook cabbage for 4–6 minutes, stirring frequently, until just tender but still crisp.
- Slice cooked chicken and return it to the pan with cabbage.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and lemon zest.
- Toss in fresh herbs and give a final stir before serving.
Notes
Chop vegetables ahead of time for faster prep. Cook protein first to keep cabbage crisp. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in a skillet for best texture.
