- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Pickles, sliced
- Shredded lettuce (optional)
- Burger sauce, ketchup, or ranch for dipping
- Nonstick cooking spray or a small amount of oil
Instructions
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease it.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet. Press a thin layer (about 1/4 cup) of ground beef onto one half of the tortilla.
- Season the beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let it cook for 2β3 minutes until browned and crisp.
- Flip the tortilla so the beef side is down. Sprinkle cheese on top of the beef.
- Fold the tortilla in half like a quesadilla and cook until the outside is golden and cheese is melted, about 1β2 minutes per side.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and beef.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings like pickles, lettuce, and dipping sauces.
Notes
Use a thin layer of beef so it cooks evenly and crisps up. For best results, cook one quesadilla at a time. To reheat, use a skillet to restore the crunch.
