Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the spice cake mix box.
- Prepare the spice cake mix according to package directions. Combine it with eggs, water or milk, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl.
- For the apple variation: Fold in chopped apples into the batter. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and even it out.
- For the pumpkin cupcakes: Fill cupcake liners ¾ full with batter. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, usually around 18-20 minutes.
