Description
Spinach and Artichoke Wonton Cups are not just another appetizer; they are tiny bites of joy that combine creamy flavors with a satisfying crunch. These delightful cups bring together two classic ingredients spinach and artichokes wrapped in a crispy wonton shell. They are perfect for gatherings, parties, or even a cozy night in. What I love most about this recipe is its ability to evoke warm memories of sharing good food with family and friends. It’s comfort food that celebrates togetherness.
Ingredients
- 10 oz package Frozen Spinach, thawed and drained very well
- 8 oz jar Artichoke Hearts, drained and finely chopped
- 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup Sour Cream
- 4 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
- 12–14 Wonton Wrappers
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 3 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully press one wonton wrapper into each cup of a muffin tin. Lightly spray each one with cooking spray and bake for 5 minutes to crisp up.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together spinach, artichokes, mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Scoop the spinach and artichoke mixture evenly into each wonton cup.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.
- Let them cool slightly, then gently remove them from the muffin tin. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to drain the spinach very well to avoid sogginess. Mix in other cheeses like mozzarella or feta for added flavor. Add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños for a bit of heat. You can prep the filling ahead of time and assemble the wonton cups just before baking for convenience.
