A creamy and flavorful dish featuring jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a delightful mixture of spinach and ricotta, topped with marinara sauce.

- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup spinach, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture and arrange in the baking dish.
- Top the stuffed shells with remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle with extra mozzarella cheese if desired.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding some garlic or onion to the cheese mixture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
