Description

A delicious and satisfying dish made with jumbo pasta shells stuffed with creamy ricotta, fresh spinach, and savory marinara sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish and top with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve.

Notes

For a little spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce. These stuffed shells can be paired with a green salad or garlic bread.
