Description

Super Quick Authentic Restaurant Style Salsa made in minutes with fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and lime. Perfect for chips, tacos, burrito bowls, or as a bold topping for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 fresh ripe tomatoes or 1 can fire roasted tomatoes (drained)
  • 1 small white onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped (or serrano for more heat)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Add tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeño, lime juice, and cilantro into a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse a few times until the desired texture is reached (chunky or smooth).
  3. Taste and add salt or more jalapeño if needed.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for best flavor.
  5. Serve with chips, tacos, or your favorite Mexican meals.

Notes

Drain canned tomatoes for a thicker salsa. Use fresh lime juice and cilantro for the best results. Store in the fridge up to 5 days or freeze in small portions.
