Description

Crispy taco cups filled with savory beef and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings or a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) with the rack in the middle position.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Stir in the taco seasoning and water according to package instructions, simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  6. Press a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup to form a bowl.
  7. Spoon the seasoned beef into each wonton wrapper and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the wrappers are crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

Use a nonstick muffin tin for easy release. Feel free to swap ground beef for turkey or add veggies like black beans or corn.
