Description

Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is a classic Southern dessert that combines rich chocolate and crunchy pecans in a perfectly baked, buttery crust. Each bite is a balance of sweet, nutty, and velvety flavors  a true slice of comfort and tradition.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch pie crust (or homemade)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges.
  2. Evenly spread the pecan halves in the bottom of the pie crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour over pecans.
  4. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Drizzle melted chocolate over the pecan filling and gently swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Cool completely for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or ice cream. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Chill your crust before baking for best texture, and toast pecans for extra flavor. Add a splash of bourbon or try walnuts for a creative twist!
