Ingredients

- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water or almond milk
- 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine rolled oats and water (or almond milk). Add a pinch of salt.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are creamy.
- Stir in the mixed berries and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if using.
- Top with chia seeds before serving.
Notes
For creamier oatmeal, use almond milk or coconut milk instead of water. You can also add extra berries or nuts for garnishing.
