Description

A quick, flaky take on a classic dessert, these tortilla cinnamon rolls come together in minutes using pantry staples. Perfect for brunch, dessert, or a spontaneous treat.

Ingredients

Scale

4 small flour tortillas

4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1/3 cup light brown sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Pinch of salt

Powdered sugar or glaze for topping (optional)

Instructions

1. Spread softened butter evenly over each tortilla.

2. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar; sprinkle mixture generously over buttered tortillas.

3. Roll tortillas tightly into logs and slice each into 1-inch rolls.

4. Place rolls cut-side down in a buttered skillet or baking dish.

5. Cook covered on medium-low heat for 5–6 minutes per side, or bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.

6. Optional: pour 1 tbsp cream over each roll before baking.

7. Serve warm, topped with powdered sugar or glaze.

Notes

To freeze, roll and slice uncooked rolls, freeze on a tray, then store in bags. Cook from frozen with added time.

Try flavor variations like apples, pecans, or chocolate chips.
