Description

Delightful traditional cookies that bring warmth and joy to the festive season, perfect for sharing with loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened for easy mixing and do not overmix the dough to keep the cookies tender.
