Description

Delightful holiday cookies combining rich chocolate flavors with peppermint, perfect for gatherings or gift-giving.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until well combined.
  3. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.
  4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra peppermint flavor, consider adding peppermint extract. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
