- 1 tablespoon capers, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Kosher salt to taste
- 1 cup hummus, store bought or homemade
- 1/3 cup olive tapenade or chopped olives
- Crackers or small toasted bread slices
- Wooden toothpicks or short skewers
- Lemon wedges for serving
- Optional: a handful of toasted pine nuts or chopped walnuts

Instructions
- Prepare the cream cheese spread by beating softened cream cheese with sour cream or Greek yogurt until smooth. Stir in lemon zest, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, half the chopped dill, and a pinch of salt. Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Slice the cucumber into 1/3 inch rounds and pat dry.
- Make tomato and mozzarella skewers, threading a tomato half, a small folded basil leaf, and a mozzarella ball onto a skewer.
- Assemble cucumber cream bites with a dollop of cream cheese mix on each cucumber round, topped with smoked salmon and dill.
- Prepare shrimp salad by mixing shrimp, red onion, remaining lemon juice, olive oil, remaining dill, and a pinch of pepper.
- Set out hummus and tapenade in a bowl, serve with crackers.
- Arrange the platter with all components.
- Garnish with pine nuts or walnuts if desired and drizzle olive oil over hummus.
- Let the platter rest in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve family style and enjoy.
