Description

Delicious and easy crab cakes that bring warmth and joy to family gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, green onions, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. To fry, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. If you prefer baking, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place the patties on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until they turn golden.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Feel free to add fresh herbs, lemon zest, or old bay seasoning for extra flavor.
